Geneva Switzerland Facility Lobby
The Caterpillar leadership in Geneva sought a welcoming visual for their lobby that showcased the diversity of employees in the region and also paid homage to Switzerland. The graphics are printing on acoustic panels, posing the primary design constraint.
Moodboards and Proofs of Concept
My design process for environmental graphics consists of presenting an idea, and then demonstrating how it might look like in the space with a proof of concept.
We had to use architectural renderings for the initial mock-ups as the lobby was still under construction. The far end of the lobby will have a large LED screen, so my design had to be clean so as not to visually compete with the screen.
The Production Guide
The clients chose the design featuring the Swiss Alps in a grid. I created this bilingual production guide to avoid anything lost in translation.
